My name is Jamie Willms and being a teacher is my day job.  I've got a wonderful family with wife Cindy and two kids - Ben and Katie.  Last year I took them on a European vacation.  We rented a camper and spent the month travelling from country to country.  I've been playing guitar for a long time but this is my first time being part of a professional band.  I've spent many years leading worship in a local church.  I decided to be part of the vision because it was a way to use my gifts to the glory of God and help bring hope to our audience.

Ken Cullen – Keys, Synth, Vocals

Ken offers an invaluable expertise and skill set to the band with his immaculate vocals and musical arrangement insights.

Ken began studying voice and piano at the tender age of 5, and began publicly performing at age 6.  Very early on he was turning heads and drawing attention.  He performed on live radio, T.V. and at corporate events from 1956-1963 as a young child in both Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan.

When his voice changed in 1963, as male voices tend to do, he changed gears a bit and took up playing guitar, clarinet and saxophone.  He began performing in several capacities in folk groups, pop groups, rock and choral groups until 1972.  From 1972-76 he studied Performance Voice at the U.W.O. (University of Western Ontario) where he studied primarily choral, opera and musical theatre.   This education paid off so that from 1972-82 he performed with The Faculty Singers, The Canadian Opera Company, the CBC from Halifax, many live venues as a solo artist as well as recorded and toured internationally with the band, Gary and Dave.

But life has its unexpected events, including raising a family, which sometimes takes a musician off course.  So Ken had to take some time off music and dropped out of the music scene from 1982-1998.  But you just can’t take the music out of a musician…they need to play.  So in 1999, Ken joined his children who had been studying music, and began playing together at Coffee Houses and other gigs in the Blue Mountain area.  He continued with them until 2002 when he was able to start out on his own again.  In 2003 he joined a group to play at the International Jazz Festival in Barbados, then joined a Christian rock group out of Windsor, Ontario, called 2Fish.  Ken played with 2Fish from 2003-2005.  The band dissolved and Ken started performing solo from 2005 until now.  He also began teaching piano and voice at CR MusicRoom in Leamington, Ontario, for a couple years.  He’s been eager to get back to full-on performance because that’s truly where his heart lies.

When he met Nicole in ’05 she was playing a gig at a small restaurant where he was having dinner.  He took pity on Nicole who was trying to lug around her heavy equipment and offered to leave his equipment behind for her to use the next time he played.  They became quick friends and he’s been watching with interest as her career has grown over the last several years.  Excited and impressed at the new direction Nicole was taking the band, he offered his talents and experience and Nicole was thrilled to invite Ken to join the group.
